Attendance

Encouraging regular attendance at school is one of the most powerful ways you can prepare your child for success – both in school and in life!

Our attendance target is 97%.  Let's work together to make our target a reality!

Please note, attendance from September is mandatory; however, if your child or anyone in the household develops symptoms of coronavirus:

  • a high temperature – this means you feel hot to touch on your chest or back (you do not need to measure your temperature)
  • a new, continuous cough – this means coughing a lot for more than an hour, or 3 or more coughing episodes in 24 hours (if you usually have a cough, it may be worse than usual)
  • a loss or change to your sense of smell or taste – this means you've noticed you cannot smell or taste anything, or things smell or taste different to normal

it is imperative that you do not send your child(ren) to school and that you follow the usual protocol for reporting absence (call the office before 10am on the first day of absence).

If the absence is COVID related, we will be able to offer advice about steps to take in order to obtain a test or how long to self isolate for, so please ensure that you state the reason for your child's absence when you call.

Thank you!
