Attendance

Encouraging regular attendance at school is one of the most powerful ways you can prepare your child for success – both in school and in life!

Our attendance target is 97%

Let's work together to make our target a reality!

Attendance and Punctuation Policy 2021-2022

Individuals are not required to self-isolate if they live in the same household as someone with COVID-19, or are a close contact of someone with COVID-19, and any of the following apply:

  • they are fully vaccinated (have had 2 doses)
  • they are below the age of 18 years and 6 months
  • they have taken part in or are currently part of an approved COVID-19 vaccine trial
  • they are not able to get vaccinated for medical reasons
  •

Instead, they will be contacted by NHS Test and Trace, informed they have been in close contact with a positive case and advised to take a PCR test. We would encourage all individuals to take a PCR test if advised to do so.

Children should not come into school if they have symptoms, have had a positive test result or other reasons requiring them to stay at home due to the risk of them passing on COVID-19 (for example, they are required to quarantine).

Symptoms of coronavirus:

  • a high temperature – this means you feel hot to touch on your chest or back (you do not need to measure your temperature)
  • a new, continuous cough – this means coughing a lot for more than an hour, or 3 or more coughing episodes in 24 hours (if you usually have a cough, it may be worse than usual)
  • a loss or change to your sense of smell or taste – this means you've noticed you cannot smell or taste anything, or things smell or taste different to normal

If your child develops COVID-19 symptoms, however mild, whilst they are in school, you will called to collect them and should follow Public Health advice (book a PCR test).

We are officially an Ofsted rated GOOD school! You can read the full report on the Ofsted page of our website.
