C handwriting practise

Phonics - all of the sounds we are learning. Look at the pictures on the first slide together and really emphasise the 'c' sound, be careful to make the pure sound and not 'cuh' (see the link below for guidance). Sound out (children know this as Fred says) the pictures and see if your child can blend the sounds together to make the word eg "I can see a c...a....t..."

Use this video to help with phonics sounds pronunciation

Write your name - help your child to write their name, try to encourage correct letter formation using this document to help. Focus on the first letter in their name that they find tricky and practise this until they are confident. Then you can move onto the next one. You can use the book that was part of the Home Learning pack or you could use water on a paint brush outside in the sunshine, flour on a tray, shaving foam or something else! Take photographs of any super work and upload these to Tapestry, I am looking forward to seeing these : )
