Welcome to The Nursery

About The Nursery

Our Nursery is based at the top of school in a separate building with its very own outdoor area. Ms Lewis is the Nursery Teacher and Mrs Walsh is the Nursery Nurse.

In nursery this half term we have lots of new children, they have settled well and are starting to join in and getting to know each other.

We also have some children who stay all day and have lunch with us. Everyone has coped well and we hope to have some more full time children after Christmas.

This is an important time of year, the older children are all ready remembering numbers, phonics, shapes and how to do things  giving the new children a 'role model' to aim for.

Our sunflower and bean crops have been wonderful so we've signed up to grow potatoes next year.

This term we are focusing on 'Our Family', we've already seen lots of 'Marvellous Me' boxes. In these boxes the children bring five things from home to show everyone. Through them we find out what they like to do, what their family looks like, what they looked like when they were little and what they like to watch and read.

We also want to know what they have achieved at home so the next task is to talk about a 'WOW' moment they've had.

Very soon it will be World Space Week, we will be finding out about the sky, space and how to get there.

Our half term will close with a Curriculum day when parents and carers can come and see what we have been doing.
